Project 6

For the first image, I chose to make a bit of a windy scene. I made a background gradient to represent the ground and sky and made some grass blades to enhance the scene. I added some extra gradients to add a little more detail to the scene and bring the observer's eyes to the center. I added some color overlays, an outerglow and embossing. I also smeared the text a little to make it seem windier.

I then made the second image to express a sense of doom as well as a dark humor or something similar. I chose an almost comical look of the word "falling" falling to earth. I found a large image of earth taken from orbit and warped the text to match the angle of the earth in the background. Before I did this, though, I made to duplicates of the text layer. I blurred both of them using a motion blur, but made one much more blurred than the other. Then I offset the layers to make the text appear to have a blurry trail. Then I merged all these together. I also added an outerglow to give a warmer look to the text as if it was burning in the atmosphere. when the text was complete, I went to the earth layer and smeared it around the base of the text to make it look like the text was pushing away the earth's atmosphere.

For the last image, I made a very sharp and crisp text scene by embossing the text and shaping it to a sharper form. I added a gradient to the text that also matched a gradient I added to the background layer. I added outer and inner glows to this set of text and rendered a lens flare to add shine and depth.
