Project 8 The Empty Street

I took this image with movie styles in mind. I wanted to project some techniques I've seen with filters and make the whole picture seem like a snapshot of a movie. I added the borders at the top and bottom to give a very blatant feel of watching a motion picture... just without the motion. I added film grain to bring out even more of that film look. I made this a monotone picture partly due to my affinity of monotone, but also because I felt it lent a hand to this feeling of seriousness. I wasn't trying to copy a movie in particular, but I did want something most people don't normally get when they watch a movie which is a feeling of dread. A feeling that, no matter how bright, how cool, it's bad and you don't want to be there. I like to see what emotions I can evoke in people and I like bringing something different. This is one example of that.
And again, enjoy!
